Plasma Fibroblast
Plasma Fibroblast is an innovative development in aesthetic treatments using the fourth state of matter — Plasma (the first 3 being solids, liquids, + gas). The treatment is delivered using an electronic handpiece (the plasma pen) containing a small metal probe, that, when exposed to atmospheric gas (nitrogen) produces a tiny plasma flash between the device tip and the client’s skin.
This tiny superficial thermal trauma causes the skin in its vicinity to tighten and lift — giving immediately noticeable results after just one treatment. Over the next 3 months, the elasticity of the skin and the skin tightening effects will continue to progress as the healing of the dermis promotes the production of new collagen and elastin.
The device is a single-patient use, sterile needle where THE NEEDLE DOES NOT PENETRATE THE SKIN AT ANY POINT.
What are the benefits?
Plasma Fibroblast can remove wrinkles and loose skin as it has a tightening effect on skin that has lost its firmness, with results that last as long as they would with a surgical procedure – for a fraction of the cost! Because it’s applied as a spot treatment, downtime for a client is just 5 – 10 days (as opposed to the months of recovery required after surgery), and there’s a low risk of infections and scarring if the thorough aftercare regime is followed.
What can Plasma fibroblast be used to treat?
Plasma Fibroblast can be performed on the face, neck, hands, and most parts of the body and can be used for:
Brow Lift
Nasolabial Lines
Skin Tags
Upper/Lower Eyelid Lift
Lip Flip
Crows Feet
Forehead and Frown Lines

Our therapists have undertaken extensive training and have successfully performed more than 1700 treatments. We choose to perform these treatments using the Plaxpot Plasma Device. The Plaxpot Plasma pen device is 1 of the only 2 devices in Australia that is TGA listed. Plaxpot also has the European CE mark approval for medical devices. It features variable energy outputs that allow therapists to control the intensity of the treatment and is designed to accommodate disposable plasma tips that provide pin-point accuracy.
These unique features reduce the risk of scarring, hyperpigmentation, and hypopigmentation and ensure a faster healing time compared to other fibroblast devices. You must disclose all of your medical conditions and medications to ensure our therapists can determine your suitability for treatment.

This will depend on several factors, including the amount of skin laxity and the desired result. On average, 2 to 4 treatments are required per area. You will see a great result even after 1 treatment; however, for the longevity of the treatment minimum of 2 sessions are recommended. Full cell maturation takes approximately 3 months; after this time, you may have another treatment.

Yes. Many of our clients choose to have the treatment when they have scheduled time off work or before a weekend.
• The carbon crusting on the area will take 5-7 days to fall off; redness may be present on the area for an extended period of time, depending on your healing
• Discomfort and swelling will be experienced following your treatment and may persist for 2-3 days; this is perfectly normal
• You cannot wet the area for 48 hours after your treatment
• Do not expose the skin to the sun for 48 hours; after that, an SPF must be worn to protect the healing skin
• Do not apply any skin care products other than what is advised by your Skin Specialist at O’Hara Skin & Body Clinic
• Apply the prescribed aftercare product to the area 1-2 times per day during the healing process
• It is advised not to wear any makeup for 5 days; however, mineral makeup may be used after 48 hours if necessary
• Do not pick or scratch at the carbon crusting; this may result in scarring and/or infection
• A mild sunburn feeling following the treatment is expected, and swelling may occur; apply a dry cool compress to help relieve discomfort if required
• Avoid activities that cause excessive perspiration
