We recommend replacing your Purifier Cartridge every 3 to 6 months for optimal results. This filtration system has been specifically designed and engineered to improve your hair and skin health by removing chlorine, metals and bacteria from your shower water.

What is hard water?

Hard water is rich in chlorine, minerals and metals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, copper and lead.

Hard water reduces lather in soap and, therefore, leaves behind soap scum, leaving a film on the hair and skin and can also appear on shower screens as white stains.

How does hard water affect my skin and hair health?

Skin

If you experience eczema or psoriasis, it could be due to the hard water in your area. The mineral residue on the skin can cause dryness, which commonly results in flare-ups.

Due to the large amounts of calcium in hard water, soap won't completely dissolve, leaving behind some residue, which can contribute to sensitivity and irritation.

Hair

Hard water can coat your hair with a mineral buildup film, leaving it feeling straw-like and limp. It can also erode the hair's elasticity as it lifts the cuticle, leading to easier buildup accumulation.

Chlorine and copper in your water can lead to yellowing for blonde hair. The iron content in hard water is an oxidiser, which can contribute to brassy and coppery tones.

Red Mineral Balls | Helps to boost oxygen levels in the water

When do I need to replace the cartridge?

We recommend changing your Shower Purifier Cartridge every 6 months for optimal filtration. Our product has the capacity to filter 60,000 litres of water.

A standard flow rate for a common shower is 10 litres per minute.

If your shower is used twice a day for approximately 30 minutes, around 300 litres run through the filter each day.

300 litres per day for 6 months is 54,600 litres, an optimum time to replace your cartridge.

Will it fit my shower?

Our Shower Purifier fits on 1/2 taps, the standard for all international showers.

Simply unscrew your current shower head, screw in your Filtered Beauty Shower Purifier, then reattach your shower head!
